Bright and Sunny -

A sunny Friday afternoon at Montrose kicks off a the beginnings of a great long Memorial Day weekend. Getting to hang out with Nicholas, Mia, and Emma just made it all the better. We had a wonderful time finding "wishes" and letting the sand get between our toes!

Sunday afternoon at Montrose

This really is one of my favorite places in the city. In a matter of a 1 hour walk you can have city views, thick trees and beautiful plants as well as a great beach. Today was just a spectacular day to be there with Lauren, Mike and family. So glad we found the dry leaves to play with at the end as well - How fun was that!?!

Enjoy this sneak peak - I promise there is much more to come -

All the best,

Summers' beautiful ending ---

As Monday marks the beginning of fall, I had the great opportunity to spend the last few glorious hours of the summer of 2008 at Montrose Beach with my family. As you can see, the colors of the summer are being replaced with the rusts and browns of fall - Yet, how lovely they play against the fading light of the day and the blue of Lake Michigan.

As we picnicked at the beach, we saw so many sail boats passing by - One was even donning a Cubs main sail. Congrats to our Cubbies for clinching their division. Dare we dream for October!?!? Go Cubs Go!!!
